Hareyakana-shi is a city in Japan known locally as the city of redemption. Wholly unrelated, "Monday's Forecast for Hareyakana-shi" is both a depressing and casually erotic tale of 4 estranged youths and their day-to-day adventures in finding the meaning in life, or whatever comes close. Also, one of them is an absolute alien.

Very small changes to her design (another mole!). I needed this because over time I was forgetting the homeless vagrant aspect of her character. I think it was better to make her hair messier. Throughout the story, it will get neater.
Her sweatshirt isn't gone completely, I just didn't want to draw it again :/ The tattoo idea was spur of the moment. I'm not sure if it will stay. It might be a different tattoo if I do decide to keep it.
A tan variation. I don't plan on having characters look the same throughout the story. Tan Masako has had a better reception though.
Some expressions. With each expression becoming more exaggerated, her face becomes more neotenous and cartoony.

Hi all, Chopsuey here. So the blog is being revived once more as a fallout shelter and central hub to all news, progress, and updates regarding the comic and art projects. As you may already know, it has gone through a soft rebranding once more for the coolness factor in having a genuine brand-name (formerly White Lotus Studio). I decided on having a darker and edgier name for the blog. ŌPIUM was decided on to better reflect the overall direction and mood for the comic and future projects. The goal onward is to produce works that numb the daily strains of life with stories straight from the heart for those who feel left out and alienated in life. For those who need that escape, I hope that my comics will provide the analgesia that you need.

Have a Happy New Year everyone! Last year was pretty rough, but hey, a new year, a clean slate.
Also, I'm expanding my presence into smaller alternative platforms.
